About Us

In today’s ever-changing world, teenagers are exposed to a wide variety of influences; some are positive, others are not. Because of their impressionable state, this makes for a potentially precarious phase of life.  Under the expert leadership of Rabbi Heshy Steinmetz (male division), Mrs. Rivky Coffer (female division) and with the eager enthusiasm of leading Rabbonim and committed board members, Aishel endeavours to provide positive role models to help Toronto’s  teens navigate through their individual challenges.

Mentors are hand-selected and trained to make themselves physically and emotionally available to connect with these adolescents on a diverse and appropriate levels. They create an atmosphere of Achdus, develop the teens’ sense of self-worth and cultivate ambition.  Furthermore, they effectively demonstrate strong management behaviour and communication skills.  Together, Aishel volunteers have derived much Nachas in sending many students to Yeshivos & Seminaries in Eretz Yisroel where they have grown tremendously in Torah and Yiras Shomayim.  Many beneficiaries return to Toronto to become valuable and contributing members of our society, and some have in fact become mentors themselves.
